City of Justin Announces Game-Changing Recreation Investments for Families and Youth

JUSTIN, TEXAS — The City of Justin is proud to announce a game-changing investment in youth and community recreation that will elevate the city’s future and deliver lasting value to residents. At the center of this initiative is the Justin Dream Complex, a state-of-the-art sports facility designed to serve as a regional destination for athletics, family connection, and community pride. The city has approved and executed an agreement with Bloomfield Homes to secure up to 137 acres of land for this initiative.

This landmark project is being brought to life through a public-private partnership between the City of Justin, KemperSports, and Keep Calm and Baseball On (KC&BO), a leading provider of youth baseball and softball programming across Texas. Together, these partners will oversee development, capital investment, and long-term operations, ensuring the Dream Complex becomes a cornerstone of the region’s recreational landscape.

“We’re thrilled to bring this transformative project to life,” said City Manager Jarrod Greenwood. “The Dream Complex will be a hub for families, athletes, and visitors—driving economic growth while strengthening the fabric of our community.”

Once completed, the Dream Complex will feature:

• Up to 12 synthetic turf baseball and softball fields for youth through high school athletes
• An indoor training facility including:
  • Multi-sport turf adaptable for soccer, football, lacrosse, and more
  • Up to two indoor baseball/softball infields
  • Batting cages
  • A sports performance training space

This announcement is part of a broader, resident-first strategy to expand access to high-quality recreational spaces and programs. As part of this vision, the city has selected KemperSports, a nationally recognized leader in facility management, to assume operations of Community Park beginning January 1, 2026. Transition services will begin immediately, and KemperSports will contribute $100,000 in capital improvements to enhance the park’s infrastructure, safety, and overall experience.

To complement these facility upgrades, the city is launching JRec, a new city-run recreational programming initiative designed to provide inclusive, skill-based opportunities for residents of all ages and abilities. JRec will offer structured progression pathways that support long-term development and engagement, ensuring every child and family has access to meaningful, enriching experiences.
