KemperSports Tabs Industry Veteran, Jason Sands, as Vice President of New Business Development for KemperSports Venues

NORTHBROOK, Ill. (July 17, 2025) – KemperSports, a leading golf, sports, and hospitality company, announced today that sports industry veteran, Jason Sands, will join the KemperSports team as Vice President of New Business Development for KemperSports Venues, the company’s youth sports management division. In this role, Sands will utilize his more than 20 years of sports tourism experience to lead new business opportunities for the rapidly expanding KemperSports Venues division.   

“Jason has led sports tourism organizations for more than 20 years,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “His great understanding and relationships in the industry and passion for youth sports will make him a great fit for KemperSports Venues.”  

KemperSports Venues, a division of KemperSports, has a successful track record of property development and management operations in indoor and outdoor youth sports and recreation facilities. The division is one of the fastest growing within KemperSports with 20 properties under management and four properties currently under development or renovation.  

For the last eight years, Jason has served as Executive Director and Vice President of Sports for the Fort Worth Sports Commission where he was successful in bringing high-profile sporting events to the community that included the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics National Championship (2019-2025), MLB Draft (2024), Men’s NCAA Tournament (2022), Bassmasters Classic (2021/2025) and others. His sports tourism business led to $55M in economic impact to the city of Fort Worth from 2021-2024. Prior to leading Fort Worth Sports Commission, he was the Executive Director of the Evansville (IN) Sports Corporation (2013-2017) and Director of Sports Development for the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority (2005-2013).
