Ryan Phelps

Ryan joined the KemperSports team in 2024 to oversee properties in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region.  A Class A Member of the PGA of America and graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program at Ferris State University, Ryan has two decades of golf industry experience in Michigan, Florida, Cape Cod, Long Island and the broader New York City and Northeast markets.

Ryan’s previous careers involved working with the largest municipal golf management company in various capacities, including general manager where he was awarded the coveted General Manager of the Year award in 2010, and eventually was promoted to vice president.  In 2020, Ryan worked for the largest operator of golf courses in the world where he served numerous roles that included vice president of operations, overseeing daily fee, semi-private and several owned and leased assets. His leadership was pivotal in the the concepting and development of some of the largest indoor golf entertainment venues in the country.

His passion for golf started at a young age and he enjoys playing golf with family and friends. Ryan is also an avid car enthusiast, snowboarder and loves cheering on his native Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions.
