Mark Freemott

Mark Freemott remains one of the longest-tenured executives at KemperSports. He joined the KemperSports family in 1997 as an intern before moving into leadership roles at Holly Hills Country Club, Bandon Dunes Golf Resort and serving as general manager at both The Governors Club and Royal Melbourne Country Club. With nearly three decades in the golf and club management industry, Mark is known for operational excellence, strategic innovation and a customer-first approach to delivering exceptional guest experiences. His diverse operational expertise spans golf, rooms, food and beverage, budgeting and financial planning, with a strong track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams to tackle complex business challenges.

As Executive Vice President of Operations, Mark is responsible for overseeing the teams supporting a portfolio of resorts and clubs of distinction, including Bandon Dunes, Sand Valley, Rodeo Dunes and Wild Spring Dunes, while also serving as executive sponsor for the KemperSports owned portfolio.

Mark was recognized as the James R. Seeley General Manager of the Year in 2010 while at The Governors Club. He also served as general manager of Royal Melbourne Country Club when they were given the company’s highest honor—KemperSports Facility of the Year—in 2014. In 2015, Mark was recognized by Golf Inc. Magazine as one of the “Top-10 Most Innovative People in Golf.” Mark was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2021. His leadership is rooted in innovation, operational integrity and service—values that continue to deliver results for his teams, clients and the guests they serve.
