Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the overall planning and execution of the restaurant. This involves not only leading day to day operations, but looking ahead in operations by leading in communication, execution and coaching of all restaurant personnel.  Responsibilities also include meeting all budgeted goals in payroll, while ensuring the restaurant is staffed adequately, in order to meet and exceed stated sales goals.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Grill in conjunction with other F&B Managers.
  • Develop, recommend, implement, and manage the division’s annual budget, business marketing plan, forecasts, and objectives to meet and exceed management expectations.
  • Create, implement, and manage all company programs to ensure compliance with the SOPs; to include safety and sanitary regulation, all federal, state, and local regulations to ensure optimal levels of quality service and hospitality are provided to the guest.
  • Assist in Marketing the Grill; develop and manage the implementation of menus, package deals, promotions, displays, decorations, and presentations within corporate guidelines to capture more in house member/guests and a larger share of the local market to meet and exceed sales and financial goals and objectives.
  • Manage Human Resources within the outlet. Direct and oversee recruitment and development of associates; hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, performance, and salary reviews, resolve conflict through fair treatment policy, discipline and terminate as appropriate. Be an unbiased advocate.
  • Manage and execute the seasonal on-boarding, orientation and training of seasonal staff in the Grill and assist with other Food and Beverage Operations, including but not limited to banquets, Halfway House and Beverage Cart.
  • Manage the maintenance and sanitation of the Food and Beverage service areas and equipment to protect the assets, comply with regulations, and ensure quality service.
  • Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments, and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects and uphold reputation within the community.
  • Assist with the service roll out of menus and specials, including allergy sheets, pre-shift tastings and discussions, EZ Suite set up of menus, options and upgrades, and needed changes in Tock.
  • Invigorate the Wine and Spirits program for membership and restaurant diners.

 

Qualifications:

  • Five+ years of previous restaurant management.
  • BA or BS degree preferred.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance.
  • Exceptional customer service skills required.
  • Requires knowledge of wines and spirits.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the Food and Beverage/Hospitality profession. This includes the knowledge required for management of people, complex problems, and food and beverage management.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends/holidays
  • Proficiency in or to be fully trained in Microsoft Office, Triple Seat, Canva, Social Tables, Tock, EZ Suite, and other club platforms.
  • Demonstrated quality written and verbal skills, interpersonal communication, and financial knowledge.
  • Frequently moves boxes, tables, chairs, etc. weighing up to 50 pounds for various needs/events.
  • Communication skills for managing/supervising staff accordingly and communication across other departments.
