Redwood Canyon Golf Course is an 18-hole golf facility including a golf shop and water range. Nestled among the rolling hills of the East Bay Redwood Canyon is surrounded by breathtaking wildlife. The course offers some of the most unique golf in Northern California and is truly enjoyable for golfers of every skill level.

 

Position Summary:

Under general direction from the Golf Course Superintendent and/or Maintenance Foreman, The Greenskeeper is responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks on the golf course and grounds, safely operating various tools and equipment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Tasks may include loading/unloading materials, raking bunkers, landscape care, sod laying, and participating in construction projects.
• Trained to operate various tools, machinery, and equipment safely.
• Equipment may include blowers, edgers, hand tools, rotary mowers, sand pro, string trimmers, and utility vehicles.
• Care for assigned equipment by inspecting before and after each use.
• Communicate efficiently to solve problems.

 

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license. Driving record meeting company safety policies and guidelines.
• 6-month experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping preferred.
• Ability to walk three (3) miles per hour.
• Visually inspect all work areas, golf course and grounds.
• Proficient in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Operate vehicles and equipment for several hours at a time.
• Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time
• Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly
• Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.

 

Classification:

Full-time, Seasonal, Hourly, Non-Exempt

 

Pay Range:

$21.50 per hour
