Golf Course Night Man

Property Description:

A centrally located 18-hole course in Southeast Portland, Eastmoreland pairs historic significance as Oregon’s second-oldest public course with modern amenities including a lighted double-deck driving range, active restaurant, and private event space.

Position Summary:

Participates in all activities related to outside guest services.  Activities may include staging and/or returning golf cars, performing practice range duties, cleaning, and maintaining golf cars and other equipment, and performing various janitorial services throughout the facility.  Responsibilities also include greeting and interacting with guests and providing information and / or assistance as appropriate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform numerous janitorial duties around the facility as instructed, including but not limited to, pressure washing, cleaning work areas, cleaning restrooms, upkeep in the parking lot and other areas of the facility, emptying trash and recycling, and general upkeep of the clubhouse, cart barn and driving range areas.
• Return golf cars to the cart storage area. Remove towels, pencils, score cards, tees, trash, etc., from carts and save reusable items.  Wash cart thoroughly, park cart and connect charger cable. Report any repair problems to the supervisor.  Carts that are not operating properly must immediately be taken aside and tagged.
• Perform practice range duties including cleaning and maintaining the tee area, removing trash from receptacles, operating the ball picker on the range and washing range balls
• Perform other duties as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• High school preferred.
• No experience necessary
• Demonstrated quality interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including evenings/weekends.
• Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
