Director of Clubhouse Operations
The Governors Club
Property Description:
Originally settled in 1799 by Colonel John Winstead and his family, the land that is now The Governors Club has long been a place of gathering and hospitality. In 1854, John M. Winstead constructed the stately, columned Pleasant Hill Mansion, a lasting symbol of the property’s history and enduring sense of place.
In 1997, this historic homestead and more than 600 acres were thoughtfully transformed into The Governors Club, now recognized as one of the premier gated golf and family lifestyle communities in Middle Tennessee. The Club offers a warm, welcoming environment where members and their families enjoy exceptional amenities, meaningful connections, and an active year-round social calendar, all within a setting defined by timeless elegance and natural beauty.
The Arnold Palmer–designed championship golf course winds through rolling hills, historic stone walls, spring-fed creeks, and scenic waterfalls, delivering a memorable golf experience while serving as a stunning backdrop to daily life at the Club.
At the heart of the community is the Clubhouse, the social hub of member life. Featuring multiple dining venues, two indoor bars, a swimming pool, a fully stocked golf shop, and an outdoor cabana with casual dining, family-friendly programming, and live summer music, the Clubhouse plays a central role in shaping the overall member experience.
