Bartender / Front-of-House Worker

Property Description:

The Overlook restaurant is located at the Tilden Park golf course, providing a relaxed, professional dining environment for golfers, members, and event guests and is open to the public.

Position Summary:

Engage in customer service by taking orders, preparing/serving drinks and food, and managing payments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Mixing cocktails, pouring beer/wine, and preparing garnishes.
• Taking food/drink orders in person and by phone and serving them.
• Greeting customers, answering customer questions, making recommendations, and upselling items when necessary.
• Cleaning the bar/dining & patio areas as needed, washing glassware, bussing tables/dishes, restocking, and following alcohol compliance laws accordingly.
• Processing payments, handling cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Performing other duties as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Exceptional communication, multitasking, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods, push, lift, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of cocktails, wines, beer, and POS proficiency.
• Demonstrate quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
• Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
• Valid ABC and Food Handler’s Certifications.

Part-time or Full-time, Seasonal or Non-Seasonal, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Pay Rate:

Starting pay is $18/hr plus tips
