Chris Gilfillen

Chris Gilfillen started his career in golf as a cart attendant in 1993. Upon graduation from San Diego State University in 2001, while working for American Golf he took on his first role as General Manager. Over the course of his career with American Golf he served as General Manager at various facilities, from executive and municipal properties to semiprivate and high-end daily fee clubs. Chris transitioned to Touchstone Golf in 2016 and quickly assumed regional responsibility with the oversight of three San Diego properties . In 2022, he assumed the role of Vice President of Operations for Touchstone Golf, overseeing the Southern California portfolio of clubs. A proven executive leader, Mr. Gilfillen has expertise in golf operations marketing, food and beverage, catering sales, membership, merchandising and course maintenance. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the California Golf Course Owners Association and is a member of the San Diego Golf and Water Task Force.
