Tidewater Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course located in the Cherry Grove section of North Myrtle Beach, SC.  Opened in 1991 and situated between the salt marshes of Cherry Grove and the Intercoastal Waterway, Tidewater Golf Club offers some of the Grand Strand’s most scenic views amid natural habitat.

Position Summary:

Under general direction from the Golf Course Superintendent and/or Maintenance Foreman, The Greenskeeper is responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks on the golf course and grounds, safely operating various tools and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Tasks may include loading/unloading materials, raking bunkers, landscape care, sod laying, and participating in construction projects.
• Trained to operate various tools, machinery, and equipment safely.
• Equipment may include turf mowing equipment, blowers, edgers, hand tools, rotary mowers, sand pro, string trimmers, and utility vehicles.
• Care for assigned equipment by inspecting before and after each use.
• Communicate efficiently to solve problems.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license. Driving record meeting company safety policies and guidelines.
• 6-month experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping preferred but not required.
• Ability to walk three (3) miles per hour.
• Visually inspect all work areas, golf course and grounds.
• Proficient in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Operate vehicles and equipment for several hours at a time.
• Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time
• Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly
• Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
