Position Summary

KemperSports is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Baseball Operations to lead the launch and management of a premier baseball training facility at Mansfield Sports Park in Mansfield, TX. This individual will oversee all aspects of baseball operations, including player development, program creation, staff hiring, and community outreach.

The ideal candidate has high-level playing and coaching experience, a strong ability to teach and mentor youth athletes, and existing relationships within the DFW baseball community. This role is critical in building a top-tier baseball training program and serving as a key liaison between Mansfield Sports Park and regional baseball organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Player Development & Training

• Design and implement baseball training programs, camps, and clinics for players of all skill levels.
• Provide individual and group instruction in hitting, pitching, fielding, and overall game strategy.
• Stay updated on modern training techniques, analytics, and technology to enhance player development.

Facility & Staff Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the baseball training facility.
• Recruit, hire, and manage a team of coaches, trainers, and support staff to execute training programs.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and high-energy environment for players and staff.

Community Engagement & Growth

• Serve as the primary liaison between Mansfield Sports Park and the DFW/Texas baseball community.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local teams, leagues, schools, and travel programs.
• Promote baseball programs through marketing, outreach, and partnerships.

Event & Business Development

• Assist in creating youth baseball camps, clinics, and tournaments to drive participation and revenue.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute strategies for program promotion and player recruitment.
• Identify and implement growth opportunities for the baseball training program.

 

Education/Qualifications/Certifications/Requirements

• Playing and coaching experience at a high level (college, professional, or high-level travel/club experience preferred).
• Strong teaching and player development skills, with a passion for coaching youth athletes.
• Knowledge of modern training methods, analytics, and player development technologies.
• Existing connections within the DFW/Texas baseball community (teams, leagues, coaches, trainers).
• Proven experience in program development, event planning, and staff management.
• Ability to recruit, develop, and lead a team of coaches and trainers.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A passion for sports and a customer-centric mindset.
• Work as a Team Player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments.
